With so much to do and see around the 4th in Tahoe it’s easy to overlook some really spectacular events. Here is your Events Guide to help you create a memorable holiday!
Fireworks:
July 3: Kings Beach 38th Annual Fireworks & Beach Party Time: 4-10; Fireworks at 9:30
Enjoy food vendors, drink concessions, music and contests on the beach!

July 4: Tahoe City Fireworks Time: All Day; Fireworks at Dusk Cost: Free though Donations suggested as they are 100% Donation Funded Family Beach Day, food and activities all day on Common’s Beach followed by the 72nd showing of what has been named one of the America’s Best Fireworks Displays. July 4: Donner Lake Fireworks at West End Beach Time: All Day; Fireworks at Dusk Cost: $6/ticket in advance from Truckee Donner Parks & Rec The West End event is just for Truckee Residents and Homeowners though the fireworks are visible from much of the lake (think public piers and Donner State Park) and from the top of Old Highway 40. July 4: Incline Village Fireworks Time: 9:30-1o Cost: Free See these Armed Forces Tribute fireworks ranked 9th in the Nation from Incline Village Beaches. The San Diego Marine Band will be performing on one of the beaches during the fireworks. Click Here for Beach Locations and Info
Other Events on the 4th:
Truckee Firecracker Mile Run along the parade route benefitting the Auburn Ski Club’s Youth & Junior Progams. Register Online or Day of from 8:00-9:15. Road is closed to thru traffic at 8:30 so be prepared. Run starts between 9:40 and 9:55 depending on what wave you are running. Click Here for Firecracker Mile Info
Truckee Parade Time: 10-1, Donner Pass Rd by Safeway through Old Town
Don’t miss the famous Truckee River Drill Team and other fantastic highlight of this unique 4th parade! Road closes to thru traffic at 8:30 so get your spot early and catch the Firecracker Mile Run beforehand! Click Here for Truckee Parade Info
Northstar Kids Bike Parade: Decorate bikes, razors, clothes, even your dog! And join this fun parade through the village. Decorating materials hosted in front of Mine near the Village entrance. Click Here for Bike Parade Info

July 1-4: Squaw Valley Freedom Fest

July 1-4 Red, White & Tahoe Blue Independence Day Festival in Incline Kick it off on Sat July 1 at 10:15 with Crystal Bay/Incline Village Parade. July 5: Keep Tahoe Red, White & Blue Beach Cleanups 8:30-11 Am After all the 4th of July activities on the lake, our beaches are trashed, literally! Do your part to help Keep Tahoe Blue.
